Chichester harbour is one the few remaining undeveloped coastal areas in Southern England. Bright wide expanses and intricate creeks, a major wildlife haven and among some of Britain’s most popular boating waters.

Backed by the South Downs, Chichester Harbour is a series of tidal inlets, with a narrow mouth to the sea. Wind-sculptured oaks and hawthorns line the shore. Boats of all shapes and sizes regularly use the harbour. Picturesque creekside villages encircle the shoreline, which straddles the boundary of West Sussex and Hampshire counties.

Chichester Marina is located at the eastern end of Chichester Harbour, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty that offers a myriad of quiet anchorages to discover. Close by, you’ll find the sandy beaches of East Head & West Wittering to explore, with the harbour itself dotted with pretty villages and picturesque hamlets to visit on foot or boat. Family friendly and ideal for boaters of all abilities, the harbour and the Marina within it, are perfect for nature, walking in the countryside, or just soaking up the ambiance whilst relaxing onboard your boat.

Navigation

When navigating from Portsmouth Harbour, pass well to the south of the submarine barrier! It takes around an hour to navigate from the entrance of Chichester estuary to the Marina.
