Lymington August 2021
14 boats and 28 crew
Another well supported midweek rally was held in Lymington. This time the marina used was the Yacht Haven who accommodated the 14 boats in attendance. Some of us were very close to the lifting crane and fuel pontoon, but we had a booking! With most boats arriving on Wednesday and some leaving to head to Poole Harbour early for the bank holiday rally and some arriving on Thursday.
Pontoon drinks were held on both Wednesday and Thursday in the BBQ area where seating and tables were available. Some crew members nestled in for an extended chat with friend old and new. Thursday was used either to prepare for the Poole Bay crossing or to visit the lovely town of Lymington. Those of us with the desire and energy took to walking around the salt marshes to see views across the Solent.
19 members dined at the Haven restaurant for a club meal where the food was excellent and the company even better. Being located on the marina ensured an easy walk to and from the restaurant. Many members not finding their way directly back to their boats but stopping off wherever they could for drinks.
Thankyou to all those members who attended. Pure Spirit, Pikorua, X-stream, Sundowner, Quirky Lady, Jango, Saskia, High Time, Shiraz, Freyja, Karolina, Legato, Kimya, and especially Gite for the help in ensuring the crews got to the restaurant.
